Two exciting have happened whilst we have been in lockdown.
The rubbish & recycling bins were moved along Sydney Road a little bit so we could finally get a permit for outside seating, and we got our online liquor license! One of these we are happy to share with you this week.
We are very excited to have wines from Ben Ranken at Wilimee, a small family-run vineyard in the Macedon Ranges. Their vines were planted in 1982, making them some of the oldest in the Macedon Ranges and their technique involves using natural wild yeasts and natural malolactic fermentation resulting in really delicious wines.
Wilimee Pinot Noir 2019 is perfectly matched with traditional clothbound cheddars such as Hafod & Bay of Fires, and washed rinds such as Epoisses de Bourgogne & Taleggio. Wilimee Chardonnay 2018 matches well with mountain cheeses such as Comtè and creamy blues such as Berrys Creek Tarwin Blue. Please try them, you will not regret it!
We will be adding this to the selection cheese friendly with bubbles & beers soon.
Wilimee Pinot Noir 2019 $55
Wilimee Chardonnay 2018 $45
